AALL is proud to have an active Teen Group. Members are encouraged to invite their teenagers to volunteer their time and effort by attending AALL charitable activities 4-5 times a year. These charitable activities include helping local children with academic work, participating in assembling gift baskets for The Blind Center of Nevada (for their holiday fundraiser), assisting at Operation School Bell and many others. Arab American Ladies League provides its youth with an educational opportunity, while engaging them in community-based activities that require them to volunteer their time and energy to local charities and charitable endeavors. In addition to fostering a lifelong quality of compasion and giving our Teen Group has a lot of fun!
Recently, the AALL has been focusing on a new age group, which consists of children as young as 3 to 4 years old. These youngsters attend meetings with their mothers while engaging in interactive age appropriate activities. During these meetings, the kids bring books, clothes, school supplies, toys and other gifts of their choosing to offer to other children in need. This simple gesture fosters an attitude of giving, building the foundation of charitable behavior as they grow into generous and kind young adults.
