The Arab American Ladies League (AALL) was founded by Julia Moradlgnatowicz in 1995. Along with a group of other Arab ladies, Julia started the journey of giving to engage the local Arab American community in a good cause, and teach the community's children about the gift of giving.

The organization was founded exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, helping local ladies and children in need, and using fundraising efforts to contribute services, money and tangible gifts to organiztions that qualify as exempt organizations 501(c)(3).

The women of AALL share a strong desire to maintain their heritage and culture and to provide a platform for Arab Amerian women who are new to the Las Vegas community.

The group began by meeting yearly in the context of a picnic. Members of the local Arab American community attended, bringing with them various items that were to be donated to Safe Nest; Nevada's largest and most comprehensive charity devoted solely to domestic violence issues.

The motivation started to build as members were encouraged to invite their teenage children to volunteer their time and effort by attending AALL charitable activities.

AALL participates in the annual Las Vegas Walk to End Alzheimer's, assists the Blind Center of Nevada, Assistance League of Las Vegas, Safe Nest and other qualifying charities in their charitable work by providing volunteers and helping hands. Recently the work of AALL expanded to a yearly blanket drive. Members and their children purchase blanket materials, and gather in one place to cut, trim and tie blanket ends. As a result of these efforts, the organization is able to provide much needed blankets for those in need during the cold months.

The Arab American Ladies League (AALL) plans to expand charitable endeavors in the upcoming years. It is the hope of the AALL to continue helping and assisting the local Las Vegas community, while educating the community's children about the importance of being a valuable and charitable member of the community.
